I know this is only Friday, but I have a lot of "Honey Do" jobs to do this weekend. Honey Do this...Honey do that. I'm posting Donna Fargo a day early. Besides, I'm a compulsive early person.

Here's my memory when I heard that HAPPIEST GIRL song...
....10 and a half years old....cold...winter....Florida....Miami Dolphins....Washington Redskins....Miami wins....hootin' and hollerin'....(we lived in Tallahassee)...[Funny, now I live in DC!]
.....grown men actin' a fool....firecrackers, fireworks....
O.k., that's all...thanks for the quick jaunt down memory lane!!

Secret, I'm sorry you didn't get to see the videos...Superman was from HeeHaw, I think. Donna Fargo sung it to Junior Samples and Stringbean. Thanks for dropping by today.

Rubble, Glad to supply the trip down memory lane. BTW, if I'm correct in my calculations I was 20 years old for that Superbowl. It seemed like the day before yesterday.

Bella, It was 72-74...about the time I was graduating high school and going to college. I think I have the Happiest Girl on a genuine 33 vinyl record somewhere.

Yes, I did notice she was singing to Jr. I always loved him; maybe cause I grew up a farm girl and he was just so ho hum about everything; never too serious about anything! June

I had almost forgotten about Donna Fargo. Did you notice she was singing it to Junior Samples and Stringbean...probably on a HeeHaw appearance.
