SammyJo
Lookin states that: I live in central California and everything here is green and in bloom. I live in the San Joaquin Valley where everything that could be grown is like almonds, oranges, peaches, plums, grapes, strawberries and on and on and on - so you visiting here will really be exciting….. and That doesn't even begin to talk about Rodeo and the horses and cattle industry here. -
INTERVIEW BEGINS….
Lookin’: Hi there SammyJo, I'm so glad you finally got out here to sunny California! *big hug and kisses on cheek* I have been wanting to meet you forever, I am so glad that we could get together.
SammyJo: *Big Hug and Kisses**In Aww* Omg..Lookin..is it really you?? I feel the exact same way..I can't believe I'm actually away from my little town..lol..
Lookin’: I just love this outdoor Restaurant and the weather has been so beautiful here this Spring - So what do you think about all the blossoms blooming everywhere? Is this what you expected? -
SammyJo *Big Sigh*Oh yes, and more..I love flowers so very much..even though I don't really have a green thumb..but..if it were up to me I'd have fresh flowers everyday all over my home..
Lookin’: (shaking my head - “I feel the same way”)
Lookin’: I tell you what, let's enjoy some of these fresh fruits grown here in the valley and then I will begin with a few questions - Ok?
SammyJo: That sounds great...
Lookin’: (by the way - We grow the biggest sweetest ,strawberries here that I have ever seen, so enjoy)-You must stop at the produce stand.
SammyJo Oh Yummy...
Lookin’: Tell me SammyJo, what is the most exciting thing that you can remember doing when you were a child? Or would you share with me one of your favorite memories that you think impacted your life.
SammyJo: Jeepers..the most exciting..umm..*Rubbing chin* ok..there are more than one...but this one...has to be when we all jumped into the car on a cold cold day..and went to find our Christmas tree..not at the store mine you..we went out in the country and found one and cut it down ourselves..my mom and us kids all together..it was awesome!!!
(I love Christmas memories - I can smell the fresh cut tree - gosh what a sweet memory)
Lookin’: OK, I know that you have told me many times that you wanted to come here to California, but Is there others places that you have wanted to see that you haven't made yet?
SammyJo: Oh Lookin..everywhere..lol..I've gone a few places because of school trips but to actually go where I want to..well it may sound like a child..but..I so want to go to see Mickey Mouse in DisneyLand...
LOL..another place I really would love to see before I leave this world is Paris..now that is Paris, France..the city of Love now..lol..
Lookin’: Hey, don't they have a Disney World there now also - you may be able to kill two birds with one stone - or should I say “mouse” - * laughing *
SammyJo: "Giggling"..Do they..well then I surely could ...
Lookin’: You know Rosie asked me a great question so I'm going to ask you too, *smiling * - What makes you always smile or laugh or brings a warm and fuzzy to your heart?
SammyJo: Yes..it may sound like the same old thing. But it has to be my kids. I love our late nite chats. We start out with one subject and before you know we have touch every subject known..lol..and hours have past..
Lookin’: (mmmm - that's so sweet)
Lookin’: There are so many published writers here on the “stream” - and people who own their own businesses, such wonderfully talented people. So would you share with me a special talent that you have (cause I know you have an extra special one) I speaking of signing. Tell us how did it start and what do you do with it?
SammyJo: Yes..I have older siblings who are deaf..so of course I had to learn how to communicate with them as I got older my mother introduced me to signing professionally...which I continue with these days in my church. What I love most about it...is signing to the music.
Lookin: as I have shared with you, my daughter also signs and used to work as a waitress and sign the menu to people who needed the help in conversation - she made big tips for that - so maybe you could have another career if you ever want to branch out … * giggling *
Lookin’: Is there a talent that you don't have that you wished you did - Like wanting to “dance with the Stars” or something like that? *giggling and snapping my fingers*
SammyJo: *Chuckle**Smile* Singing!!!..yes, I sing all the time..but..oh when I was a young girl..I so wanted to grow up and become a singer..music is my heart..
Lookin’: (shaking my head in total agreement)
Lookin’: SammyJo - I just have to tell you that I love the sweater you have on and you seem so comfortable in your jeans so I am going to ask you - Are you a clothes nut who loves to shop? If so, what's your favorite thing to buy - clothes, shoes, jewelry - What really turns you on and gives you trouble resisting?
SammyJo: *Big Chuckle*..Oh boy do I love clothes..do I love to shop..LOL..but..my most favorite of all to buy is Purses..shhh..don't say it too loud..lol..my family hates it..I have tons of them..lol..
Lookin’: (oh - please I just bought a Lug bag, lime green, from Biggie T's and Marc's Heliotrope, and I love it - we could be dangerous turned loose in the malls) LOL
Editor’s Note:Lime Green Lug Bag Lookin’ Purchased From Heliotrope
SammyJo: HaHa..Look out..here we come..LOL..
Lookin’: Ok - now this should be easy, Tell me, and all of us on the old Stream, what you like the most about yourself and what traits do you look for in the people that become your friends? * looking serious but grinning “
SammyJo: Easy!!!..Ha Ha..I guess..I would say I like my blue eyes....Now..what do I look for in a friend..Oh my gosh..Lookin..I have so many different types of friends..but..what I truly cherish in a friend is their Loyalty..Honesty..a friend who can look into my eyes..into my heart and know me..know when I need them..even when I tell them things are alright..they know different..Who wants to hear my problems as well as give me theirs.
Lookin’: (absolutely - I think we are so much alike - honesty - for sure it has to be #1)
Lookin’: Now SammyJo, If I could sprinkle you with pixie dust and grant you any wish - what would you wish for personally or what would you want to change in the world?
SammyJo: Of course..I would wish for my children to live as God wants them to…and to find that special love and be happy...and that I'd be here to see it...
Lookin’: (Now that's every Mother's wish)
Lookin’: Do you have a favorite song or a favorite food or favorite book?
SammyJo: *Thinking* Umm..Sadly..I am not a book reader..Food..omg..you are talking to a girl from South Louisiana.."Crawfish"..oh Yeah!!!..and I love them Potato Sticks..you know they look like shoe strings..lol.
.My favorite song...Gosh..Too many to name..I will tell you though..the Doo Wop music is my favorite...
Lookin’: (I love it also)
Lookin’: OK then, now the biggie, we want to know - do you sleep in “Jammies” or in the “buff”?
SammyJo: Ha Ha..that is so funny...well, it is either a gown or shorts..no buff for this lady..I have to many guys living in my home..lol..I don't think they would appreciate it..lol..even though I seem to see way too much of them...lol…
Lookin’: (I know what you mean)
Lookin’: Well then, do you want to share a “life lesson” that you have learned from being a Mother or something that someone said to you that made a great impact in your life?
SammyJo: Not easy to put it short and sweet..but I will try..lol..Being a mother has taught me to understand my own mother..that my heart can be broken so badly but it also can smile and love with great depth..*SMILE*
Lookin': (We can all understand that)* nodding with approval.*
Lookin’: Now I have to ask this one - because it was important to me when I was asked“if these next words were the last words you would ever speak again - what would they be?
SammyJo: I guess I would be copying you..Lookin..but..it is something that I always tell my boys..that if you are ever in an accident or you know you're dying..remember to ask the Lord for forgiveness to be sorry for what you have done..that he will forgive you up to your very last breathe..but..I also say don't wait until that moment...So..I guess my last words would be....."Please God..I'm so sorry for all that I've done wrong..I ask you to forgive me and to accept me into your kingdom..and to please watch over all those I love so dearly"...
Lookin’: (Again - I know exactly what you mean - and I couldn't have said it better) mmmmh “smiling”
Lookin’: What got you started blogging to begin with and What have you enjoyed about being on the stream?
SammyJo: Hmmm...My heart...my fears...my anger..needing to say what I want no matter what it may be…not to have people I know judge me...and I guess what I love the most about the stream is meeting people like you Lookin.. so many of you that share yourselves with me.
Lookin’: And finally if we could all get together and have a “blogstream crew Par-tay” - Who would you want to meet first and why?

The End of the Raven A poem by Edgar Allen Poe's Cat
On a night quite unenchanting, when the rain was downward slanting, I awakened to the ranting of the man I catch mice for. Tipsy and a bit unshaven, in a tone I found quite craven, Poe was talking to a Raven perched above the chamber door. "Raven's very tasty," thought I, as I tiptoed o'er the floor, "There is nothing I like more"
Soft upon the rug I treaded, calm and careful as I headed Towards his roost atop that dreaded bust of Pallas I deplore. While the bard and birdie chattered, I made sure that nothing clattered, Creaked, or snapped, or fell, or shattered, as I crossed the corridor; For his house is crammed with trinkets, curious and wierd decor - Bric-a-brac and junk galore.
Still the Raven never fluttered, standing stock-still as he uttered, In a voice that shrieked and sputtered, his two cents' worth - "Nevermore." While this dirge the birdbrain kept up, oh, so silently I crept up, Then I crouched and quickly leapt up, pouncing on the feathered bore. Soon he was a heap of plumage, and a little blood and gore - Only this and not much more.
"Oooo!" my pickled poet cried out, "Pussycat, it's time I dried out! Never sat I in my hideout talking to a bird before; How I've wallowed in self-pity, while my gallant, valiant kitty Put and end to that damned ditty" - then I heard him start to snore. Back atop the door I clambered, eyed that statue I abhor, Jumped - and smashed it on the floor.
