Juliet: "What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet." Romeo and Juliet (II, ii, 1-2)
By now, if you follow my blog on a regular basis you'll know I changed my I.D. name from Bookworm to L.Cat. While it will take some getting used to (for all of us), it just makes sense to me to make the change.
When I first joined the Stream, I was going to call myself the Library Cat (L.C. or L.Cat for short). I hadn't quite decided on the name of the blog. Somehow the name Cat House had different connotations than I wanted to project. So the blog became the Library Cat. I had accidently filled in Bookworm for my user name. Thus my Bookworm personna was born.
When I joined the Stream, I didn't check to see if if anyone was using the Bookworm name. It turns out there had been. In fact, there have been four others who have used BW as their name. Two before I joined and two after used the glorious moniker Bookworm. They haven't continued on the Stream. Over on QuestionStream, the same thing has happened. Confusion sometimes reigns over who is posting or answering questions. I'll change my user name over there too.
After my "inner techie" stumbled on the way to change names without deactivating and starting a new blog, I decided the time was right. Bookworm changed into L.Cat as he was meant to be all along. My blog won't change. It will still be humor, funny pictures, books, libraryland happenings, videos, music, a little religion, rants. trivia, and of course The Blogger Inquirer.
BTW, my "neglected blog" Bookworm's Book Shelf will have a title change in the near future. I'm just not sure what it's going to be. Any suggestions?
