I found Nursey and Hook getting ready to play Keno.  After we exchanged hugs, Hook left us in favor of Keno.  Nursey and I sat down and began our interview for the Blogstream Inquirer.

 

 

Sarahbobera:  Assuming this is correct, why is your favorite color purple?

Nursey:  Purple rocks, some call it the new black, it goes with everything, plus purple is the official color of the Alzheimer's Association.

Sarahbobera:  Describe your perfect weekend.

Nursey:  I have my perfect weekend almost every weekend. A night out on Friday maybe out Saturday for a bit then pajamas for the rest.

 

Sarahbobera:  What’s the coolest thing you ever bought at a garage/estate sale?

 

Nursey:  The best thing I picked up was my Noritake china, Marywood pattern...8 place settings, all the serving pieces, $75. What a steal!! We also picked up a huge collection of newspapers that dated back to the 1930's in mint condition. Very cool reading history that way.

 

Sarahbobera:  If money were no object and you cold go anywhere in world with the bloggers of your choice, where would you go and what would you do?

Nursey:  Of course Hook and I would go to the land down under and see Rosie and Woolley, drink some coronas and try not to get bit by anything deadly. I would love to include anyone that could tolerate Hook for more than an hour. That leaves Sarah, Sherry, Bella, Trish, Big Chris, Shrink, (where has he been?) and Scratchy. What a crew!!!

 

 

Sarahbobera:  Who is your favorite character on Grey’s Anatomy?

Nursey:  Mc someone lol...I would say my favorite character would have to be Bailey, seriously.

 

Sarahbobera:  What’s your favorite kind of chocolate?

Nursey:  Milk chocolate, usually wrapped around a Twix, Kit Kat, or Snickers.

Sarahbobera:  How many games of online literati/scrabble do you think you have played in the past year?

 

 

 

Nursey:  This is truly embarrassing. I have played a total of 3,193 games, I have no idea how many were in the past year. Too many.

Sarahbobera:  Are there any sales on diet coke right now?

Nursey:  Hy-Vee has it four 12 packs for $11.00. It is Sunday though so I'll be checking the sale adds later. Buy in bulk, that's the key.

 

 

Sarahbobera:  Do you have a favorite vacation place you like to go?

Nursey:  We will be going to Northern Nebraska again this year. I really liked traveling to South Dakota. Vegas was a blast. Every year is my favorite vacation I think.

Sarahbobera:  Now for the Mandatory questions:

Sarahbobera:  What brought you to Blogstream, and what did you hope to get out of it?

Nursey:  I found Blogstream on a search. I started my blog "Day in the Life of Dementia" to teach and bring some real stories of the daily life of someone suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and their families.

 

 

Sarahbobera:  What 5 CD's are currently in your player?

Nursey:  I only have 1 mixed CD in my truck I made. It has Kid Rock, Fergie, Aerosmith, Alan Parson Project, Little Big Town, Peter Gabriel, a very strange mix of my favorites.

Sarahbobera:  Who are the 5 bloggers you would like to meet?

 

Nursey:  Only 5! Sherry, Bella, Lil' Trish, Scratch, Colo, Misty, Taylor, Lookin', Ron and June, Big Chris, Miss Lou, Cracker, Dalpha, Biggie T, Dragonflower, Mouse. Is that 5 yet? Lol

 

 

 

 

Sarahbobera:  Favorite alcohol beverage?

Nursey:  I'll have no more than 3 Tequila Sunrises or maybe a little White Zin.

 

Sarahbobera:  What is your nationality? Ethnic background?

Nursey:  My peeps are from Finland.

 

 

 

Sarahbobera:  Last book you read? What was the best and worst book you read?

Nursey:  Last book I real was Jade Island by Elizabeth Lowell.
My favorite book is Lavyrle Spencer's Family Blessings.
I've never read a bad book entirely, I'll quit before the end.

 

Sarahbobera:  Who is your favorite actor or actress?

Nursey:  Hmm that's a tough one. Jack Nicholson.

Sarahbobera:  What was the last movie you saw at the theatre?

Nursey:  I think it was "The Grinch" with Jim Carey, we aren't big movie goers we wait for the DVD.

 

 

Sarahbobera:  Color of your underwear?

Nursey:  F of the L's, white, cotton, breathable...enjoyable.

Sarahbobera:  Your middle name?

Nursey:  Ann

 

Sarahbobera:  What is your favorite word?

Nursey:  Enjoyable.

Sarahbobera:  What is your least favorite word?

Nursey:  The naughty C word, makes me cringe then get really mad!

 

Sarahbobera:  What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

Nursey:  Music, quiet time, honesty.

 

 

Sarahbobera:  What turns you off?

Nursey:  Drama, bad mojo, negativity, laziness, complaining.

 

 

 

Sarahbobera:  What is your favorite curse word?

Nursey:  Sh**!!

Sarahbobera:  What sound or noise do you love?

Nursey:  My kitties purring, makes me happy.

Sarahbobera:  What sound or noise do you hate?

Nursey:  My toilet running it's been doing it for a year now.

Sarahbobera:  What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

Nursey:  Radio Disc Jockey. I was accepted at a broadcasting school right out of high school then chickened out.

 

Sarahbobera:  What profession would you not like to do?

Nursey:  Surgeon....cutting, blood, rooms are cold, not my cuppa tea.

Sarahbobera:  If Heaven exists, what would you like God to say to you when you arrive?

Nursey:  You did well with your life.
